Nigerian Man Takes On Pedicure World Record Challenge

A Nigerian pedicurist, Olusanya Samuel, popularly known as Sam Pedicures, is set to attempt a Guinness World Record for the longest pedicure marathon by an individual. The Anatomy graduate from FUOYE, Samuel, is aiming to break the record during a 48-hour marathon from October 29 to 31, 2026, at Njay Beauty Spa & Salon, located in Akure, Ondo State. According to Punch Newspapers, the current record stands at 30 hours and was set by a Vietnamese pedicurist in 2018. If successful, Samuel’s achievement will not only highlight his talent and endurance but also put Nigeria on the world map of record-breaking pedicures. The event, which promises to be a unique spectacle, will also serve as a platform to create awareness about foot health and the importance of regular pedicures. With the growing interest in personal grooming and self-care in Nigeria, Samuel’s attempt is expected to inspire many to explore careers in the beauty and wellness sector.
