Olam Agri Acquires Land in Delta State for Animal Feed Plant

According to Punch Newspapers, Nigerian agribusiness giant, Olam Agri, has reportedly acquired 99.99 hectares of land in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, for a new animal feed plant. This move is aimed at serving the South-South and South-East regions, a significant step towards enhancing food security in the region. While the specifics of the deal have not been disclosed, the acquisition is expected to boost the company’s operations and create employment opportunities in the area.

This development comes at a time when the Nigerian government is encouraging local businesses to invest in agriculture to ensure food security and reduce reliance on imports. The animal feed plant is expected to contribute significantly to this initiative, providing a steady supply of locally produced feed for livestock farmers in the region.
