A Lagos court has sentenced a 27-year-old FUNAAB undergraduate, David Ugboko, to 14 years in prison for defrauding investors of N27.5m in a Ponzi scheme.

According to Punch Newspapers, a Lagos court has handed down a 14-year prison sentence to a 27-year-old student from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), David Ugboko. The conviction stems from Ugboko’s involvement in a Ponzi scheme that defrauded investors of N27.5 million. The details of the scheme and the number of victims are yet to be disclosed. Ugboko, who is a resident of Ogun state, was arrested by the police following a complaint by one of his victims.
