Wike Disassociates Self from Court Ruling in Uzodimma vs Okorocha
Minister Nyesom Wike has distanced himself from the recent court ruling that favoured Rochas Okorocha over Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has denied any link to the recent Federal High Court judgment that nullified the recognition of the incumbent governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Imo West senatorial district in the 2027 general elections. According to Daily Post Nigeria, Wike made the position known during a press briefing, stating that he has no involvement in the court proceedings and is not a member of the APC. This denial follows the court ruling that recognised Rochas Okorocha as the APC candidate, a move that could potentially unseat Uzodimma. However, Wike emphasized that anyone associating his name with the matter is being mischievous. According to Vanguard News, Wike further clarified that he did not go to court and is not in the APC, stating that he is unaware of the issue at hand. Punch Newspapers also reported Wike’s denial, stating that he has no link to the judgment favouring Okorocha over Uzodimma.
