Chiamaka’s Plea: AGN Urged to Remove Late Actor Diewait Ikpechukwu’s Death Post

The daughter of the late Nollywood actor, Diewait Ikpechukwu, has called on the Actor's Guild of Nigeria (AGN) to remove a post announcing her father's death.

Chiamaka, the daughter of the late Nollywood legend, Diewait Ikpechukwu, has urged the Actor’s Guild of Nigeria (AGN) to take down a post announcing her father’s death. This call came hours after news of the actor’s passing was reported. According to Daily Post Nigeria, Diewait Ikpechukwu died on Thursday following his battle with an undisclosed illness. However, Chiamaka claims that the AGN posted the death announcement without consulting her or her family first. In a video circulating online, she expresses her displeasure and requests that the post be removed.

‘I just heard the news that my father passed away, and I didn’t know anything about it until I saw a post on AGN’s page. I was never contacted, neither was my family. I find this very disrespectful and I want that post taken down immediately,’ Chiamaka said in the video.

Daily Post Nigeria did not mention any response from AGN regarding Chiamaka’s request. It is unclear whether the post has been taken down at the time of this report.

This incident highlights the need for sensitivity and respect during difficult times, especially when it comes to the passing of a public figure. It also underscores the importance of accurate and timely information in the entertainment industry.
