In a recent development, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has signaled its intent to contest in the 2027 elections. The party’s national chairman made this known in a statement, Premium Times Nigeria reports.
According to the chairman, the National Working Committee (NWC) also passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and other candidates who emerged from the party’s primary elections. However, details about the party’s strategies for the upcoming elections have not been disclosed.
Meanwhile, another political party, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has expressed its intention to challenge the APC’s dominance in Lagos State. The APGA chairman stated that they have strategized and are ready to take over both the legislative arm and governance, according to Tribune Online.
This development comes as the political landscape in Nigeria continues to evolve ahead of the 2027 elections.
