In a bid to maintain law and order in Kano State, the Kano State Police Command has apprehended two 19-year-old suspects over allegations of illegal firearm possession. The command, disclosing this through a press release issued on Thursday by its Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, reported the recovery of a locally fabricated revolver pistol with two rounds of live ammunition. According to the statement, the suspects were arrested in connection with a case of unlawful possession of a firearm. This latest development comes amidst increasing concerns over the proliferation of illegal firearms in the state. With the growing number of incidents related to armed robbery, the police force has been intensifying efforts to curb criminal activities in Kano. As the state government and security agencies continue to work towards ensuring the safety and security of Kano residents, the arrest of these two suspects underscores the importance of vigilance and collaboration between law enforcement and the public.
