Lagos APC Directs Candidates to Remain in Nigeria until 2027 Elections

According to Premium Times Nigeria and Daily Post Nigeria, the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has instructed all its candidates to stay in Nigeria until the 2027 elections. The directive was issued during the inauguration of the APC Tinubu-Hamzat Campaign Council at the party secretariat in Ikeja, Lagos. Cornelius Ojelabi, the state chairman of the party, made the announcement. This decision aims to ensure that candidates are available to participate fully in the party’s mobilisation activities leading up to the elections.

This move by the APC comes amidst ongoing preparations for the 2027 general elections. While details about travel restrictions and penalties, if any, for violating this directive have not been disclosed, it is expected that candidates will comply with the order to ensure a smooth campaign process.

This development underscores the significance of the upcoming elections in Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole. It also highlights the role parties play in shaping political discourse and setting the stage for democratic processes.
