President Tinubu Promises Cheaper Transportation for Nigerians Starting October

In a move set to ease the financial burden of transportation on Nigerian citizens, President Bola Tinubu has promised that transport costs will decrease starting from October. This was disclosed in a statement by Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Saturday.

The development is an update on the National Affordable Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Transit Programme, which aims to reduce transportation costs for Nigerians. The programme has already begun implementing CNG-powered buses in some states, and the President urged other states to follow suit.

According to reports from multiple sources including The Whistler Newspaper, Punch Newspapers, Tribune Online, and Daily Post Nigeria, the President insists that this move will lead to significant savings for Nigerians in transport costs. He encouraged states to ensure they maximize these savings by adopting the CNG-powered vehicles.
