NEMA Provides Relief Materials to Victims of Port Harcourt Flood

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has delivered relief materials to support victims of the recent flood incidents that hit parts of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. According to reports from Tribune Online and Punch Newspapers, Mrs Zubaida Umar, the Director-General of NEMA, activated a technical team led by Air Commodore Bature Usman to strengthen ongoing response efforts.

The relief materials delivered include food items, clothing, and other essentials. The Rivers State Government is expected to distribute these items to affected individuals. This intervention comes after the devastating flood that caused significant damage and displaced many residents in Port Harcourt.

This action by NEMA underscores the agency’s commitment to providing aid during emergencies and disaster situations. As the rainy season continues, it is crucial for authorities to remain vigilant and prepare for any potential flooding incidents across the country.
