As Nigeria prepares to face Russia in an upcoming friendly match, the absence of Victor Osimhen looms large. Ex-Super Eagles player Garba Kaita has weighed in on the potential impact of Osimhen’s absence, predicting a tight scoreline.
Speaking to reporters, Kaita said, ‘Victor Osimhen is a crucial part of our attack and his absence will be felt. However, I believe our team has what it takes to pull through.’
Osimhen, who plays for Napoli in Italy’s Serie A, was ruled out of the match due to injury. His absence marks the second consecutive friendly where he will not feature after missing Nigeria’s clash with Algeria earlier this month.
