Thousands of NSCDC Personnel Mobilized for Abuja’s Independence Day Celebrations

As Nigeria prepares to mark its 66th independence anniversary on October 1, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) is gearing up for heightened security measures in Abuja. According to multiple reports from Daily Post Nigeria, Channels Television, Nigeria Info FM, Arise News, THISDAYLIVE, and ThisDay Live, the NSCDC has mobilized 3,000 personnel across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to maintain order during the celebrations.

While the NSCDC has not disclosed when the deployment began, reports suggest that this move is part of an intensified security effort in the city. The decision comes at a time when there have been concerns about potential unrest and clashes in the lead-up to Nigeria’s Independence Day.

It is important to note that with the ongoing celebrations and increased security presence, Nigerians are encouraged to cooperate with security personnel for a peaceful and enjoyable celebration. As always, it is crucial to verify information and stay informed during such events.
