In a swift response to a viral video showing four police officers allegedly brutalising a civilian in the Ijagbo area of Ota, Ogun State, the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, has ordered the arrest of the officers involved. This development follows widespread condemnation of the video, which has sparked outrage on social media. According to Tribune Online, the Commissioner of Police gave the directive for the arrest of the officers during a meeting with the Area Commander of Ota division. The incident occurred on Saturday, and the video has since gone viral on various social media platforms. The Ogun State Police Command has not yet released a statement on when the officers will be apprehended or when the facility began operating. Meanwhile, CP Ojajuni has assured residents of Ogun State that the Command will not compromise on professional standards following the video, as reported by Daily Post Nigeria. The Commissioner gave the assurance as the command announced the apprehension of the officers captured in the video. Punch Newspapers also reported on the incident, stating that the Ogun State Commissioner of Police has summoned the four officers to the command headquarters over the viral assault video.
