SAHCO Secures Air Algeria Ground Handling Contract for Lagos and Abuja Airports

The contract, which is expected to enhance the efficiency of ground handling services for Air Algeria at both airports, was announced on Thursday by THISDAYLIVE and Independent Newspaper Nigeria.

According to the reports, the contract was won by the Nigerian tycoon, Taiwo Afolabi-owned SAHCO, following a competitive bidding process. The contract is expected to improve the ground handling services for Air Algeria and boost the Nigerian aviation sector’s revenue.

The win is significant as it marks another milestone in the growth of SAHCO, which has been a major player in the Nigerian aviation industry for several years. The company operates ground handling services, cargo handling, and aircraft maintenance at various Nigerian airports.

Air Algeria operates frequent flights between Algeria and Nigeria, connecting the two countries’ major cities. The airline has been a key player in promoting trade and tourism between Nigeria and Algeria.

The news of SAHCO’s win is expected to boost the confidence of investors in the Nigerian aviation sector, which has been facing challenges in recent years, including the COVID-19 pandemic and economic downturn.
