Umahi Not Humiliated at Kaduna APC Rally: Group Clarifies

A group has refuted allegations that Works Minister Dave Umahi was humiliated during an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Kaduna, asserting that the incident was merely due to a malfunctioning microphone. The group’s statement comes after reports circulated suggesting that Umahi was snubbed by the party leadership during the event.

According to Punch Newspapers, the group claimed that Umahi’s speech was abruptly cut off due to technical issues with the microphone, denying any intent to humiliate the minister. It remains unclear whether the APC or the Kaduna State Chapter of the party has issued an official statement regarding the incident.

The development has sparked conversations among political analysts and commentators, with some questioning the dynamics within the APC ahead of the 2027 elections. Umahi, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC in 2019, has been a key figure in the party’s South-East politics.

Punch Newspapers did not specify which group made the clarification or provide further details about the incident.
