2027 Elections: Donald Duke Predicts Tinubu’s Victory if Atiku and Obi Remain Divided

According to a report by Vanguard News (Vanguard News), the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) presidential candidate, Donald Duke, predicts that President Bola Tinubu will likely win the 2027 general elections if leading opposition candidates fail to unite. In an interview on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief, Duke pointed out that the division of votes between Atiku Abubakar of the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) and Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), could repeat the outcome of the 2023 presidential election and give Tinubu an advantage. The division of opposition votes has been a contentious issue in past elections, with critics arguing that it leads to a divided vote that ultimately benefits the incumbent. This prediction by Donald Duke underscores the importance of unity among opposition parties ahead of the 2027 elections. The full interview can be watched on Channels Television’s website.
