Amos Hails Abbas on Kaduna University Bill Passage

The Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege’s Deputy, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi has commended the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, on the passage of the Kaduna State University Amendment Bill. In a statement, Senator Abdullahi lauded the collaborative effort that led to the bill’s passage, expressing his optimism that the amendment will further position the university as a centre of excellence in Nigeria.

Senator Abdullahi, who represents Niger North, praised the Speaker’s leadership and commitment to national development, noting that the passage of the bill signifies a significant step towards improving tertiary education in the country.

According to Premium Times, the bill seeks to amend the Kaduna State University Act to expand the university’s mandate, increase its capacity, and improve its governance structure.

Although the National Assembly has not provided a specific date for the bill’s assent, it is expected that President Muhammadu Buhari will sign it into law soon, according to reports.
