Nigeria is not doomed: A call for unity and progressive leadership

Nigeria, often painted as a nation on the brink of collapse, has been the subject of much concern and hand-wringing in recent years. But in a compelling op-ed for Premium Times Nigeria, Chris Ngwodo offers a hopeful counterpoint to the doom-and-gloom rhetoric.

According to Ngwodo, the key to national cohesion lies not in exhortation alone, but in the cultivation of equitable institutions, shared prosperity, and empathetic leadership at all levels. He argues that Nigeria’s diversity, far from being a death sentence, can be harnessed as a source of strength, and that competition need not degenerate into conflict.

Ngwodo’s piece is a timely reminder that the future of Nigeria remains in the hands of its people. While challenges abound, it is clear that a commitment to progressive leadership and a willingness to bridge divides are crucial to the country’s continued success.
