Former President Jonathan Warns Politicians: Nigeria Must Be Bigger Than Any Party

In a warning to Nigerian politicians, former President Goodluck Jonathan has emphasized the importance of putting the country above party loyalty. Speaking at the 5th National Conference of the Forum of Former Deputy Governors of Nigeria in Abuja on Tuesday, Jonathan’s message was delivered by his representative, former Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Bala Ngilari. According to reports from Vanguard News, Daily Post Nigeria, and Google News, Jonathan stressed that Nigeria should be bigger than any political party or individual. The ex-President warned that division along ethnic, religious, and regional lines could have destructive consequences for the nation. This call for unity comes as the country gears up for the 2027 presidential and general elections. As Nigeria navigates its political landscape, the emphasis on national unity is more crucial than ever.
