Baze University Acquires Two Aircraft for Aviation School in Abuja
Nigeria's Baze University has added two training aircraft to its aviation school in Abuja, reports indicate.
Baze University, one of Nigeria’s leading educational institutions, has expanded its aviation school in Abuja with the addition of two training aircraft, according to multiple sources. On November 7, Tribune Online reported that the university has secured the planes to enhance its aviation training program. LEADERSHIP Newspapers also confirmed the news, stating that the new aircraft will contribute significantly to the school’s capacity to train more students. The acquisition is expected to boost the aviation sector in Abuja, as well as provide more opportunities for young Nigerians aspiring to become pilots. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has not commented on the matter, but the new aircraft are said to be Cessna 172R Skyhawk models, which are commonly used for pilot training worldwide. This development is particularly important given the growing demand for aviation professionals in Nigeria and the region. As more Nigerian airlines expand their fleets, the need for well-trained pilots and aviation personnel increases. The acquisition by Baze University is likely to help meet this demand and strengthen Nigeria’s aviation industry.
