Honeywell Technologies Unveils New AI Platform at Dangote’s Refinery

In a significant stride for Nigerian industrial innovation, American multinational Honeywell Technologies has launched a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform at Dangote Refinery, Nigeria’s largest oil refinery. According to a report by Reuters, this development marks a critical step towards optimizing the refinery’s operations and enhancing its efficiency.

The new AI platform is expected to streamline various processes, including crude oil tracking, product distribution, and maintenance scheduling. This integration aims to reduce costs, improve productivity, and ensure a more sustainable and efficient operation.

Dangote Refinery, owned by African business magnate Aliko Dangote, is a key player in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector. The refinery has a production capacity of 650,000 barrels per day and is designed to meet 100% of Nigeria’s petroleum products demand, significantly reducing the country’s reliance on imported fuel.

This collaboration between Honeywell Technologies and Dangote Refinery underscores the growing importance of technology in Nigeria’s industrial sector. As the country continues to develop its infrastructure, the integration of advanced technologies like AI is expected to play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, productivity, and sustainability.
