TUC and Abuja Hotel to Meet over Workers’ Unionization Dispute

The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) and Abuja Continental Hotel management are set to meet on October 12 to discuss the unionization of workers, following the intervention of security authorities in the dispute. According to reports by Realnews Magazine and Tribune Online, the TUC President, Comrade Festus Osifo, disclosed this during a press conference. The meeting aims to bring an end to the ongoing dispute that has been ongoing for some time. The exact details of the dispute are not clear, but it appears to involve workers’ rights and unionization. This development is significant as it shows a commitment by both parties to resolve the issue through dialogue, rather than escalating it further. The meeting is scheduled to take place at an undisclosed location in Abuja. While the TUC and Abuja Continental Hotel have not released a formal statement regarding the meeting, it is expected that more details will be shared in the coming days.
